if you are able to fly with short notice. There may

You will love your experience of flying into the
Cairo International Airport and since
there is a new terminal (Terminal 3) currently under
construction and will be completed in January 2007
it will be even more modern with much more capacity
that it has now. Right now a free shuttle bus links
the two terminals that exist now and it is about 2
miles apart.
Don’t worry about getting back and forth from
Cairo City to the airport because
there are many means of transportation. There are
car rental agencies, which include Avis, Budget, Europcar,
J Car, Hertz and Thrifty if you prefer to rent a vehicle.
There are taxis available from the airport to central
Cairo. The trip takes about 30 minutes. Another choice
for travellers is by limousine, which will go to central
Cairo for a flat rate fare. An airport bus service
operates from Terminal 1. It is Bus no.400 and it
operates during the day every 30 minutes and at night
once on the hour.

restaurants and there are bars located in the Departures
halls of both terminals.
